Delete your account and data
You can ask us to delete your Slowmade account and the data associated with it at any time. You do not need to have the app installed.
Current status
Slowmade Inc. has no application in public distribution yet, so there are no user accounts and no user data to delete. This page exists so that the deletion route is published and reachable before the first release, and it will stay at this URL.
How to request deletion
Write to privacy@slowmade.app with the subject line Account deletion request, and include:
- the email address associated with the account;
- which Slowmade application the account is for;
- whether you want the whole account deleted, or only specific data.
We will ask you to confirm from the account's email address before deleting anything. That step exists to stop somebody else deleting your data, and it is the only verification we perform.
If the app offers in-app deletion, that route does the same thing and is faster. This page is the route that works without installing anything.
What is deleted, and when
- Account record
- Deleted within 30 days of a confirmed request.
- Content you created
- Deleted within 30 days of a confirmed request.
- Backups
- Backups are rotated on a 30-day cycle. Copies inside an existing backup expire on that schedule rather than being extracted individually, so deleted data can persist in backups for up to 30 days after deletion. Backups are not used to restore deleted accounts.
What we keep, and why
Two things survive an account deletion, and we would rather say so plainly than promise a clean wipe we cannot deliver:
- Purchase and tax records — kept for 7 years from the end of the tax year in which the transaction happened, because company and tax law require it. These records are not used for any other purpose.
- Records of the deletion request itself — kept so we can show that the request was made and honoured.
Purchases made through the App Store, Google Play or the Microsoft Store are also held by those stores under their own policies. We cannot delete their records; requests about them go to the store.
Other rights
Deletion is one of several rights you may have, depending on where you live — access, correction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent among them. The Privacy Policy describes them and how to exercise them. Any of them can be requested at the same address.
